Hello! I’ve recently moved to the Greater Boston Area and started a job with the Weston Public Schools as an IT technical specialist at Weston High School.

In my spare time, I like to fiddle with computers and try to be as operating system agnostic as possible, though I’ve taken a significant liking to Windows 7 and have found it incredibly frustrating that no one has yet pointed out the fact that analogues of the UI innovations of Windows 7 quietly showed up in Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) with nary a mention of how it bore a resemblance to the new UI features in Windows 7 that were revealed over 6 months earlier in November 2008. This, after years of Mac users and ’sheep’ PC users alike pointing at Microsoft’s similar emulatory tactics and crying foul…

I also consider myself to be a decent graphic designer and typographer, but find it difficult to be proud of my work until people ask about it or seem interested in it - yet one of the biggest reasons I’ve found it difficult to post my work in a cohesive and comprehensive portfolio. It is one of my goals in this upcoming year to blog more frequently and feature a single piece of work of mine every two weeks.

Another huge interest of mine is transit and rail travel advocacy and transit and rail travel in and of itself. One thing you’ll find I do often, if you follow all of my Tweets, is respond to confused and often frustrated T riders in the hopes that I can one day rise to be a respected transit advocate and effectively work with the MBTA to improve ‘conditions’ for riders, either outside or within the organization itself.
